As a resident of East Portland, who frequently rides with my 9 mo. old son in tow, I appreciate this comfortable design. I hope it can be implemented in other parts of the city, which offer limited options for cyclists. |

The Holgate Buffered Bike Lanes offer a safer, more comfortable riding experience and they slow down traffic on Holgate. I fully support this project and would like to see other projects like it installed throughout the city, especially in East Portland. |

I have lived on this street for 34yrs and this is the worse CRAP!!!! I have seen happen around here.I dont know who is behind this but they should not be able to make decisions if this is what they're capable of.No way will you get my support!!!!!!!!!! |

I've lived on Holgate since fall '78. The ONLY benefit I see is that there are no more racing cars on Holgate. It is very difficult to get out of our driveway, or off the side streets, especially at rush hours. And bicyclists need to follow road rules. |

Please, please, do not take away the bike lanes. Cars are now starting to speed, and run the lite at the corner of 112th and Holgate. A child will get killed eventually and it will be those young drivers trying to beat the light at the signal. |

The city did a bad job with public outreach on this one, but improving the bikeability of east portland should be a high priority. |

I think the bike lane on Halgate is great. I use it when I visit my friends in SE. It's wonderful to have some extra space from the vehicle traffic, especially when I bike with my daughter. I also drive and walk, we need safe streets all around. |

I love the buffered bike lanes on Holgate, and I hope they are a sign of things to come for other busy streets in East Portland. As a pedestrian advocate, I especially enjoy the traffic calming effects of the new lanes, and it's now much easier to cross |

As a resident of SE Portland just blocks from Holgate, the improvements are a great start! I only wish it were as safe and comfortable to bike all the way to 17th and the pending Max line! |

Great! We need bike lanes all over Portland, not just the central city. |

I love buffered bike lanes! They're much safer and more comfortable to ride in than standard bike lanes. When I'm driving near them they provide better safety as well, since bicyclists aren't right next to the side of my car. |

The buffered bike lanes on SE Holgate are only "bike lanes to nowhere" if you agree that Lents and Powellhurst-Gilbert are "nowhere." I reject that assertion. People live here. The Holgate project has made the street safer for everyone. |

It's great to see outer SE Portland neighborhoods getting the safety improvements they deserve. |

I'm a Holgate resident and huge fan of the bike lanes. I use them and I love the traffic calming. My house and my person are so much happier since they were installed. |

I live in east Portland and commute daily to Gresham. I cross Holgate daily, and sometimes ride the Holgate bike lanes from the eastern end to the I-205 multi-use path. I love how the lanes have calmed traffic in the area, including those crossing at 205. |
